Competition
Strictly geometrical shapes and compact design (less is more), positive effects on the surface-to-volume ratio (shape factor), lower energy consumption in order to qualify as a good ClimaHouse B.
The composition of different types of apartments satisfies the space-allocation plan requested by the Institute for Subsidized Housing. Additional design features: maximum clarity, easy legibility, good orientation, avoid ground-plans and building full of nooks an crannies, spacious movement areas, maintaining the flexibility to adapt the apartments to future needs (requested by the client). Several residential units per floor can be reached via luminous staircases. This contributes to a better ratio between apartment volume and building volume.
